" You're listening to the signal season four episode 21 or Tuesday November 18 2008. I'm -- And unless -- are going to change things up on you guys a little bit with our next two cents right."

" What that means is that we have to wait too much fire like goodness defeat in the span of one normal show so we're splitting the materially -- shorter shows that we'll release only one week apart instead of the usual two week."

" This is episode 21 and an episode Tony to be released next Tuesday."

" December marks the end of season for the signal was -- season and were anxiously looking forward to season five. However to -- season five work we need a few more people to fill in some open slots on the cruise specifically we need writers and audio editors."

" If you're interested in joining the crew make sure you head over to our forums and read the post their. Also listen to our last show -- a short article with some great information about what it takes to be part of the crew and finally. The podcast awards. Did we win. Yeah no we weren't."

" A year yeah. We won the most recent film category thanks to all you shiny broke two voted you guys are that yes oh yes it's going to be our fourth major Award our third Award from the podcast to words and thank you so much. We take this not so much is a testament to the signal but is testament of firefly in the -- to community so thank you all for voting for us that's for sure we still have the power. And you know I had a super shiny brown -- Yes you can go ahead yes I did I and my copy of firefly pound Blu-ray is here. I'm sitting back watching it in all sorts of high Def goodness he is super shiny he had a kind of clear player so her and her body yet. Why don't spoil too much but I have a feeling there might be review of the Blu-ray disc and all the new specials that are on in the next season. And now on with the show."

" So for our music section this time we have a new version of the hugely popular melts on an out. I Dixie and Tony or better known to signal listeners as Michelle Dockery and her new musical collaborator."

" They have a -- Thirteen tracks that include this one the you can find their website and we'll have that link in the show and we -- we bring you a few more firefly really detracts from this later on."

" News. These 3 AM PM. Yeah. Event."

" Hey."

" Medicine man."

" Okay."

" John. Canadian minister and minister. And then. Spends the -- An amazing night. Romance. Okay."

" I."

" You can see -- yeah. And then that's his name. Hangings of the eighty's yeah. Seeing time. Isn't so CC NN men and a man. He's a and president can in -- and then I mean yeah and sciences eat its hands and CN NC is going to say good night. The night Manning and."

" Okay."

" GE. ED. One of -- neatest products or their character attacks and they've just released their -- limited edition."

" What's in the case you say well it's a small scale model of something -- Macs will be releasing these super awesome models of some of the characters from our beloved Firefox. Carolyn Parkinson recently received -- head of K -- in hears her thoughts about it."

" You're going to come of that. -- max has partnered up with Adam Livermore rich to bring brown coats the little damn hero series action thing I mean market models of all in favor brown outs. These are based on cartoon drawings that Adam did and soul of the cafe press store black market -- The first character in the sat SK -- which was released on October 15. There'll only be 1500 of each figure mate. I just got mine in the mail last night and own my goodness I was so excited to -- the packaging and play around with her that at first I forgot to put her into the little displacement holder base that she comes -- Big mistake because -- is depicted with her parents all she's top -- social topple over backwards if you try to set her down without bursting. Our little mechanic can -- well she's made of tough -- resident scholar wasn't too worried about break inner. For how small she is she's really -- Almost as if she was made of -- Not as nice each -- hand payment but her hair was later than the prototype shown in most of the photos on the Q Mac's website. She looks more like a red had been a Burnett Franklin. But -- hair is kind of hard to get right because it is in between those two collars. My favorite picture of her the cover art from the serenity those left behind comic her hair is that strawberry blonde color. Besides the other Pena details like them flowers on her shirt and a fuzzy bear patent cover all our picture part. My absolute favorite thing about the Stahl is the parents it's designed so that it is a separate -- so -- actually holds the Paris. In you can too just like Haley does it's so much fun there is a drawback to the removable Paris. Won the Paris hall sometimes slip and all -- protecting him he's had instead of being above her head that. -- second one is if you try to relive it all it has a tendency to fall out of -- he. Is small glitch that is more than made up for by the fact that you can spin. Healy is a bit on the expensive costing just under fifty dollars US not including shipping but this does seem to be in line with the cost of this type of item. All the Marquette figures I seen it Walt Disney world in Disneyland tend to be in the 10050 dollar range. And they are about three times bigger than normal Kailee. Besides her eyes done that enough half moon enemies smiles her cute little coveralls or her impossibly clever -- make -- so very hurt your business. Mel's the next in line for the little -- hero's treatment. If you look around the lab or in the show notes you can find pictures of mouse part of tied to -- Actually decided to get two -- one to keep in the box for posterity. And went to display MI rapidly growing serenity trying to on television right in between washes plastic dinosaurs and the baby Gosling it's. She really brightens up."

" Next up we have an interview with our good friend Andy -- from Cuauhtemoc."

" And it's always so shiny to have them on the show."

" Always has such good stuff to talk about. Q --"

" More than anyone else that -- no doubt -- max is just doing so many good works in the verse and -- with so many Chinese products."

" I would agree and I hope that they keep it up for at."

" Are never never never never never never never and never ever at."

" It just -- picking up speed in releasing more things all the time. I would agree and they're getting to do some -- partnership says you know all sorts of fun things. Without further ado here's our one of the interview with Andy. --"

" They were various -- welcome back to signal even -- Bags great feedback. So -- into a really big news going on with."

" Q and completely yes yes weekend is the I think it a point to look at everything is sitting -- the concept of the company in my reply to a lot of them personal life. Just because I want people to know that there are people here who are listening and paying attention. -- we have this is that we we refer to quit internally that are no geek left behind policy and that's what you. That fact which is that we just we really like to make sure that -- no one should ever walk away from the transactions can accept happy. That's not always a stadium of course possible but we really worked very hard to make sure that it that it's a 100% satisfaction so. Sort things we've we I occasionally getting enough for people because we we go through these quiet period -- world will not. Beasts saying a lot for months at a time and and the reason is never that we're not doing it. The reason is that's a lot of things we do take a really really long time to do its hands -- doing it right Israeli what is now. So then that's as good as segue into. By far the most ambitious project that humans have ever done. And it's been the longest project we've ever done I think strategy when it's -- stat but. And turn the stuff we've actually brought to market. I mean he want very very pleased honored and proud to announce the fact that we. -- old school very shortly be introducing in shipping and the official comprehensive map of the course. Yeah. Thank you thank you -- next. I met two their guys at this -- and I'm sorry just Mandel couldn't be sure to join us the reason why he's not here though. And relate to some -- like okay that's that's like Kryptonite at camp I can't fight fat. If you -- that -- for me. I'm intrigued. That's the only reason is not here to talk about it but. Quote all the projects that economics is done the map of the versus the one that has most -- We've been working out -- for over two years. Actually about the map of the idea for the map of the first predates the serenity -- that's a long we've been working. And -- that was another project that was born at the story in the back up action if and it was it was during just like three days a period of time we're just Mandela I would just hang out discussing product ideas and coming up with things and technically the -- the protection the map of the person gave birth of the -- blueprints because. When we could restart -- during a map -- the first purpose and for those who don't know. Jets actually have a long history of doing science fiction arm to get a bunch of us suffer start tracked and so forth and he's very well known for us. So that's kind of where our conversation started exit point wouldn't be great if we could do -- math. Estes you know can't let people know the structure of the purpose you know what's. What's in the purse you know what an insult planets in the loans to where they -- relationship to each other. It just really do this and he agreed and he also said that you're talking about a nightmare. A police search because everybody's got a little piece of this story but nobody has the whole fact and so event that was when we are talking about the -- project things -- almost to the blueprints. First. The and plus you know the fact of the matter is all the research had to happen first so the first brain trust we -- about. One the map of the first trusted actually predates I think this is true that predates the blueprint blind trust and there are a number of folks. Cool there weren't all the -- also ball after the verse. Actually one of our very very very very first researchers was your entry level. And jolted an enormous amount of work on this project and she was really really good at helping us. -- chorale all the cats in allies in the -- such a project a camcorder. I mean they're 273 term reform bodies in the first we have. Well. And just -- an apple which ones they were are and what their names where where they were relationship to each other you know -- make sure that it was consistently -- he would continuity from both the show in the movie. There's just huge task and they're probably about a dozen people worked on the project on and off. Potential has been there from the beginning. And your own mister Edwards has recently joined the brain trust them. We brought him in a couple of months ago because so many of us have been looking at this material for so long. We needed a really knowledgeable person to comment and kind of look at it fresh and so I feel like it'll also joint project between the signal and --"

" Well I know for sure that we all think that everything that -- elect -- is and actually be able to be involved. In the project is really great. Well I know Jill and nick are all excited about it."

" Well I gotta gotta tell you did not it would never happen. Without -- hand without a number of other fans. Who had been involved with project there was another gentleman who joined the brain trust I think probably about six months ago. His name is. And is that Chris can't for attention. Because he had. This flight 18000. Word. -- killed analysis. The sort of people who ports on his block. It'll block called another just another brown coat pocket because what it's called. And examining the extent that amount of time on something that's I looked -- backing -- a lot of very good points. And -- the point is that the kind of that we really need to have a public interest so cut and all the little that talked back and forth and invited him to join the map of the first brain trust. Where he proceeded to -- all kinds of value actually went so far and were hoping to actually make this available to free download to actually write a white paper on the stellar classes. The suns in the system. Relative positions of gravity and mass and diameter and in just unbelievable. And -- unflattering -- that you probably step in and ask questions and."

" a lot of intricacies to bigotry you're trying to play right with science we understand today and fit in with I mean you get. Some hints in the show who's in the movies the battle relative positions at least at certain points in time you know it takes. So long -- travel from here that they here but it's never released sketched out at some point all the little pieces of information together and trying to make it easy. -- believable. Package must've really been challenger."

" Well and as it turns out for the movie they did actually mapped the court systems in May remember seeing that up on screen during the -- Yes so there actually want to say there was a lot more fought I think give them to at least in terms of the story continuity where things war so that. And and you know there's at least one image in the movie in which I'm not sure that actually -- in the moved -- their. There's an -- you can actually very very briefly exceed the whole purpose. But its territory and jet man delta that -- So -- that was an advantage but it's one thing that kind of have a basic understanding of what the structure of the versus. And it's another thing putting all the red planet in the right place. And then to add to that. You know although we. There are a lot of plans that we know thanks to pieces like world of the alliance which was done for the movie and some of the things we also know from the series that there at least 273. Term reform bodies in the -- and there are not 273 games. So in order to fill out the map of the -- we went to -- and we went to role playing game we went to. Even in some cases some of the fans sick. That's out there hand you know we really tried as much as we could. The majority things there are there from jostle -- from some things that chops war dog or read or approved or what have you. And then the rest of its kind of -- them a little bit -- stuff from the extent the community. But is there really interesting thing about trying to make this map makes cents one this is it. It is we can CNN I'm kind of want to be careful how I say that's for the one of these accurate as possible. Looks like the thinking around the structure the first changed between the series and movie. Not dramatically. But I think that they you know once again I think the science of only Soledad as far as was necessary to -- the story. And I think for the movie they needed to think it at all. So I think things that were sort of maybe a little baker around the construction of this series kind of got pushed out of -- more the movie time -- So in wheat and started off originally with a model that was wrong I did -- wrong that it was. The wave that we originally thought things were supposed to go together. When we actually brought that research back to -- his brain trust his friends -- you know -- he's worked with. Yeah on the movie and so forth they look at them and I came back doesn't sit well. This is wrong this -- this -- there was certainly a major stops so after about a year's worth of work we kind of went back to the drawing board to some degree. And while all I think the brain trust of the fact there was trouble identifying the planets in the names of most of that work. Survived the -- we ended up actually having to change the structure of things where we thought they were originally to where -- and about. But the funny thing was after we made these changes. A lot of stuff that wasn't working promote continuity perspective also -- war. Like how -- serenity get some Hayden to Moran two mr. universe is known you know let's face today I'm not sure fleet of realtors would follow them for weeks. Right right right so how that this all worked together implying is percent of these so significant in the series why it was Herat. -- place for the worth the war is lost well I mean you know typically these things are matter geography and once we have that sort of I almost hate to -- sort of present us down. Some of the information from the movie and from -- in particular. Possibly -- accents and that was the sort of the compliment that's what we knew we were ready to move on to you know actually doing the work from a graphical. Because you have to spent two years developing this product probably we spent a year than seven months putting the information that would interest get. -- a lot of work and yeah it is and actually we had an episode which information we were done that that we had to kind of make them -- huge it's a double sided. So it's part of -- full color both sides. And the final map just 25 by thirty intentions. So when -- can be available. Our goal to have it available pat creation. Not a 100% sure it'll be quite ready by then most of the artwork is finished everything has kind of gone through last checks and stopped and it's gonna go to the predators but today is September 2 so hopefully we can get through the printers and get a quality control. -- happened there at the very minimum. Chip will be giving an entire section on. Structure of the personal showing images and so I don't signing. Up. And our plan right now host offered into reforms. Offered as they folded road map style single actually. And we learn their lesson from the original blueprints for a lot of people love the Big Blue prints but. Were annoyed about the fact that you know -- improperly -- And so that's what board that's what brought blueprint reference pack. But this time we're kind of anticipating that -- advance and so we're gonna offer the map in two forms one is a folded. Reference form and the other will be a role -- role poster for those people who actually give up that virtual space at the I will tell you it's utterly gorgeous. And then you know I think less have you been on the interest it's supposed to some of the productions sample."

" Yes I have been not been keeping up with from -- little bit and it's just and -- see the whole thing pulled together it gets down to court in the area it's it's made it also had and I think I'm looking for and I really think you are from my living room while that might work didn't."

" Well I telltale right now I don't have a limited amount of wall space here in LA but there's no way this map is gone on the wall. But we realized we like -- different from the blue country realize the people really need to have. -- they need to have different reference and it now so you know we're pretty we're pretty psyched about it."

" Well I think it's just -- to think of it as a reference book especially with the amount of work that I can't -- writers that is people who did the south are now like haven't that they'll be really neat resource for those types of people to have to make sure they get they -- and cracked well."

" Yeah I mean we can just because we were you really really wanted it. And I wish I could say that every I mean there's a lot of wonderful and one of the great things about our community is. That a lot of wonderful fans pick out there and I wish I could say we we were able to work everybody's working in there. Unfortunately can't say that can't say everything in the series and everything in the movies or America or doubtful kind of positions sensibly and hopefully will stand up muster with the fans that I think it well. We certainly have some pretty hard -- people go through this work vetted and it just changes so -- perfect. You know I don't know. Is that the best we can do yes it apps so that's that's basically at that you know that's it's big it's big -- for a this is something we've. There's one of our earliest ideas it's."

" Finally got it out the door and I don't think it would have come out so we felt it was really. Ready with those things he had come to fruition."

" I'm Kevin -- I'm Wendy number. And amber and fair and where the host of a new podcast called tuning into scifi TV."

" Weary disgust I finds -- those currently on television and some from past the fans just like you."

" and our water cooler in backwards discussions of your favorite shows and strangely enough you can find us online at tuning into side by TV."

" Dot com he's seeing him."

" But it meant to know what investors have about one maybe I never watched five."

" So your site like he could -- one of the best shows ever they had no details no spoilers until catching up on dvd myself. Besides we're not really experts are critics because I think of ourselves more like guides --"

" Scifi shirts I don't carry anyone's luggage. And either who would like all the viewers digest predominant TV yes we're interested in the conversation. Shifts."

" And speaking of -- quite sure booths where to find one of those."

" Craig's list."

" Two and I have to deal with."

" The -- look. That's good for people. He did good."

" The concept of the ability being equivalent we're stuck proceed -- one of humanity's oldest license. The idea that the mere accident are required well some cool breezes -- the rest of your -- descendants is concede that persists to this day in the first. This is perhaps more the case on the planet for Stephanie and on any other. Here -- well established wealthy aristocracy enjoys the benefits of the forwards while large proletariat seize within areas such as to -- down. There is however nothing to stop anyone from aspiring to advance that position in society. Or indeed from falling from the giddy heights when situations become less tenable. Meanwhile he intends -- emporium one recent foray into the rarefied atmosphere of high society is under discussion."

" I must say Hillary go to -- These him blow off only older upon these guys that Sinegal some stuff up -- quarter point at that one. -- in -- area. Look over this whole thing is beyond saying you -- stated so it's time -- you know two week and his cronies -- start to behave like him. Carry out the most part that they needed to tell you that we need to -- looking -- a one quote me on any don't go lucky with a Ares. Even though that will only be played with the -- but yes actually is that a -- he does -- glad to hear you say that. -- to -- quality of his most amusing instance we -- to -- you're doing it began. Doing a lot. Com. Evening CNN oh -- in and how often in the hopes betrayed when munching on her to. I -- OS business and it's."

" Yes and escalating case -- been subpoenaed PBX. Two music scene on main."

" To be up to. But as -- you've heard the -- to act out actually."

" We'll Lucy's going to -- we've about discussed the --"

" Haven't -- appointment -- smoke but that too and that left abruptly cut."

" Nobody's made it to him yeah. Well recently anyway kinky and we disposed vehicle --"

" but how to contact them. Today."

" What Paul is just about to get to that -- nine to burst. You ever gonna keep these weeping and everyone else with you to give notably Jones. Brought -- as it is well to the thing to tolerate it. -- of -- ever -- so we just -- Susan. Now sees that gave us -- look at."

" So all go to -- he said agents coming on arranged conference been accepted and not just going. Applauded mr. normally effort to -- himself he won't it somewhat it's like you even need -- dog's -- rights. What do you -- He's the mechanic. -- ghosts that he did news is. It's in the biggest kind -- thank you. And it's not just mechanic this ultimately missed the budget now. We somehow we speeding in front Detroit's been the -- to look at that list of countries meeting of the drugs racket but that's track terror. We never deal with the narcotics sat in the business at least not directly. That's been the -- in this case things reasonably Portland to Los few months but somehow that posada Goldman stared out. It's critical so some leases rooms mr. back through some animal being into audio is these dealings with the -- Wilbert this is stature after. Quote you at book that's -- point. It might still situation -- more bullets. And assassinate the -- mechanics to Nixon well you know books he figured we blow up any minute."

" With -- stuck in the -- Is not good -- is that all the effort. Think about like this in here. Not I want -- I. Haven't had -- think that -- paying direct protection to try ads that advocate we have other. -- in. Supporting you over the track."

" She's got a point hurt the -- view of this multiple option that I knew. But some yeah eight yeah -- Harry you know moment's notice of them to the maximum it's been -- The -- on neighboring and a he had nothing bad man -- no idea -- On games. You'll position needs that you gonna bower among the abrupt adjustments to reputable polls -- stuff happens people something. -- That it. You've got blown down. I -- point he's stuff happens please leave nothing to do you have you control evil side. Yep I. It's something out and admit to patch the and he will you -- The life or would it. -- just waiting game. Arming element that you should do something to win mutually profitable business doing beaten equipment and all the -- You'd take care I'll keep the schools. Whom flew and several from this point I'm still not sure what you do -- will Nike every. Well war on the news there's nothing else for like we'll just have to shoot mr. -- sales. Tom --"

" Next time Burton Harry discussed potential consequences for the exaggeration. You really think handle this awful viewers of the show he keeps -- you'll yes. We're gonna get bloody on this one -- Stoller -- and Stewart moment."

" You're listening to news from the verse. Brought to you by the signal. A new viral site for firefly on Blu-ray has recently gone line. The site is called the -- interstellar travel agency those were wrenched it can keep up on events Byron RSS feed or twitter account the site is also offering a -- feed. Sony has announced a release date of December 30 for serenity on Blu-ray the Blu-ray version will also include new commentary that includes John Sweden. Nathan -- Adam Baldwin summer -- Enron collapse. A contest is being offered by brown coats dot com that runs between now and the first of December 5 winners will each receive a copy of firefly on Blu-ray. Contest submissions must consist of your name email address and creative work related to firefly. And that's all the news we have way for these two weeks this is Kevin bad shoulder for the signal. Good day."

" We definitely have a lot to talk about within the here's part two of our interviews."

" Of course we're just. Seeing the tip of the iceberg you know there's so much more than you -- don't think we are back -- ask you about the deal you have going on the iPod."

" Oh yes. I think you're -- that -- Yes I am very pleased to announce the fact that we have launched a music store online store at scifi dot com it's actually a branded store or so I don't know if you call -- to store whatever. Within the big. Scifi channel's online store and it could go there you'll now see quantum mechanics listed underneath the a list of brad stores there which is really cool and yet that's really great exposure pathetic. The most important respect and it made me the most excited. One -- 'cause serenity is Barbara licenses and part of our arrangement we is NBC universal land with the scifi channel folks that the franchises that we represent the on the story serenity now has its own listing running Battlestar Galactica -- inside of the store. At least that's like the ultimate in guerrilla marketing right there. Yeah. That you know frankly that's like the most exciting thing. From its the fact that you want you can now go to scifi channel store and right of the Battlestar Galactica access serenity that a a cut there and get a whole bunch of really cool serenity stuffs it well. Of course we think that's stuff. You know the point is is there. In outside -- and are seeing it and that just that's so terrific we're just so thrilled about it. I'm thrilled about it I think that's great and you know if folks want to buy their -- after the scifi channel store please do I mean in most cases when you -- concert unstoppable just Portugal -- store but that at least scifi -- be -- so if you plan and I'm making a purchase from Cuba next please feel free to do that through the side by -- because it won't make any difference to us and it might make some difference to them."

" Are often. They want to -- but I imagine that ties into that is the black market Beagle acquisition could you have all of that content you can bring -- well."

" Yeah we good. Month and a half ago you know it's no secret -- level more -- one of our most productive designers she did the -- and travel posters which were best seller heeded the battlestar propaganda posters fervor make -- best seller he vehicle them heroes design their role as hand -- Patrick Healy is basically sold out at this point. Probably armed and the most successful product -- however I think in the first 72 hours we've sold through something like thirteen hundred of the 1500 addition. So we are extremely pleased that. You know Adam and I or talked probably to three times a week blistering -- your ideas things like that and black -- without some sort of store bought and but he came up we have to market is you know initially firefly serenity inspired designs. So a lot of this that was sort of a little undergo. The idea what that was typical T -- and you could wear it if you worked fireflies and you would see it go oh my god it's now. Whatever -- so it just makes sense and we'd been wanting to do some sort of fund charged these things like license plate frames and stickers and T shirts and things like that. That weren't necessarily tied to any particular franchise there which confront things for our customers and at some cases opposite they are tied to the franchises and and so -- just made sense it was a great brand. The thing I think I told Adam that we first talked for the simplest and it black market Eagles didn't exist we'd have to invent it. He he agreed and we worked out -- deal ones -- black market Beatles is officially part of your Macs and they have a tab at the top level of what we call our franchise are we also battlestar serenity and stargate black market --"

" That's great -- have little eagle with a with a nice -- to the youth yeah yeah applicant is -- forward that's a particularly good -- some people insurance I have a I definitely wear one I would pay the."

" And the -- who you know went."

" I think we'll put that out what to do list could just get our first brown -- future so that should be available show. And a soft. Yeah but the point for political -- teacher so that it doesn't elect friend's web site."

" If you look at her teacher that she does she got a great life that he just made the design it has that the little picture of river actress beat each other readers and underneath that it says by elect a girl. I think great shirt."

" Particularly shirt along that it cool or political cool that's great well. Speaking of creation we have many many of these things we want to hear that everything you've done gone. It will in terms of product at."

" We shall have a -- or cosponsor that the show we're gonna whatever he believes that we can possibly you know I actually tried to reserve about fifty of them for the show figure it would just. I didn't want to disappoint in particular. International folks who would be coming there who might be reluctant to pay the shipping whatever country they're from them that they were kind of hoping to get once it was -- back about fifty -- at least for the show the next little thing here what you will be on display will not feel -- yet but it will be on display which is now know. I am optimistic it's. And who we will hopefully have the map of the first there pay attention to that we have in this series if he'd been following the fire fresh reports of some of the stuff that would add up there -- and Sean Hannity who is the PG guy who's working on -- we got to talking about bringing polite some of the rest of the -- series it could certainly is a series three and so we had disasters -- history as -- ministers or. And it would it be cool like do full renderings of them and -- very kindly said he would like to do that. And while we decided to do first. What the fan favorite which is the military version of pictures firefly that was used by the Independent of the war. And so I'm hoping that we will have the first rendering of the cerberus which is our names for this particular show up. Can camp on and that does about perception. And the rendering is just gorgeous so we hope we will have that -- show and actually between you mean there's -- if you look really closely some of the characters from a story we're working on for the ship questioning around the cargo plane. A lot of little -- little Easter except there. Another thing that were really really hoping to do the show is you know earlier mentioned the fact that we brought them both people who are professional artists and made their living at it in -- and our it's beyond all reasonable capsule really talented brilliant analysts we don't want a few months ago.
