The Supreme Court upholds Indiana's strict photo voter ID requirement as constitutional. The ruling opens the way for other states to follow suit. Republicans have argued for a stricter voter ID while Democrats and civil rights groups say the law would prevent some poor, minority, and elderly voters from voting.
