[description] Nearly one in five veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are suffering from psychological disorders like depression and post traumatic stress syndrome. That's 300,000 veterans affected. And nearly as many returning service members are reporting that they experienced a possible traumatic brain injury while on duty. This is according to a study by the Rand Corporation. We'll speak with one of the authors of the study. How dirty can a political campaign get? Author Joseph Cummins has done the research and it's laid out in his new book, "Anything for a Vote: Dirty Tricks, Cheap Shots and October Surprises in US Presidential Campaigns." The race in 1800 between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson was nasty; Jefferson's team used the term 'hermaphroditical character' to refer to Adams; Adams' team called Jefferson the son of a half-breed Indian squaw.
