As Green Water, the Native elder at Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Shirley Highrock of Chatham works to challenge some of the cultural stereotypes and myths about the Native Americans who lived alongside the English in 1627.

Shirley Highrock, 73, of Chatham is the Native elder at Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Her Native name is Green Water and she has found a new cultural identity since her retirement from the Veterans Administration system in Boston.
